Can childhood apraxia of speech be cured?

CAS does not have a quick “cure,” but with consistent, targeted speech therapy, many children achieve significant improvement and can develop clear, functional speech. Some children may outgrow many of their difficulties, while others may need ongoing support into adolescence.

The key is early, intensive intervention, as therapy helps retrain the brain’s motor planning system for speech.
