Can I claim exercise physiology on Medicare?
Yes, but only under specific conditions. Exercise physiology can be claimed through Medicare under the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan, formerly known as the EPC (Enhanced Primary Care) plan. This allows for up to 5 subsidised sessions per year, referred by your GP.
This is different from NDIS funding, which often provides ongoing, fully funded sessions. Medicare is ideal for short-term support or early assessment, while NDIS offers long-term therapy plans for those with a permanent and significant disability.
If your child is NDIS-funded, book your consultation now to access more frequent and tailored support.
