Can the NDIS help with housing?

The NDIS does not directly pay rent or mortgages but can help with housing through Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) and Supported Independent Living (SIL).

• SDA provides funding for housing designed for people with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs.
• SIL funds the supports people need to live as independently as possible in shared or individual living arrangements.

The scheme may also fund home modifications and assistive technology for accessibility.
