Only professionals approved by the NDIS Commission as Behaviour Support Practitioners can write a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plan. These practitioners must meet core capability standards and often have backgrounds in psychology, occupational therapy, or special education. They must also show experience in conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments and developing person-centred plans. The PBS plan must be aligned with NDIS standards and include both proactive strategies and guidelines for responding to behaviour safely and respectfully.
