Who needs a behaviour support plan?

A Behaviour Support Plan is needed when a person regularly shows behaviours of concern that may be harmful, disruptive, or limit their access to daily activities. This includes individuals with autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, or mental health conditions. NDIS participants who are subject to restrictive practices must have a plan developed by a registered practitioner. For example, a child who frequently runs away from school or engages in self-injury may require a BSP to support their safety and well-being.
