A Behaviour Support Plan (BSP) can only be written by an NDIS-registered Behaviour Support Practitioner. These professionals undergo approval from the NDIS Commission and follow strict guidelines to ensure that the plan is ethical, effective, and person-centred. The practitioner gathers input from families, carers, educators, and other professionals to ensure the plan is both functional and tailored to the individual’s everyday life. For example, a plan for a child with ASD might involve school staff, speech therapists, and family members to ensure consistent use of strategies across home and school.
