Is dysgraphia covered by the NDIS?

Dysgraphia alone is not usually covered by the NDIS, as the scheme focuses on disabilities that cause significant and lifelong functional impairment. However, if dysgraphia occurs alongside another condition such as autism, ADHD, or an intellectual disability, it may be included in an NDIS plan under broader supports. Occupational therapy and educational support for writing difficulties may sometimes be accessed through NDIS if linked to a primary diagnosis. Families should check eligibility criteria with an NDIS planner or support coordinator.
