What are developmental milestones and ages?

Developmental milestones are linked to age ranges where most children achieve certain skills. According to the Raising Children Network (2024):

• 6 months: Rolling both ways, responding to name.
• 12 months: Standing with support, saying simple words.
• 2 years: Walking independently, combining two words.
• 3–4 years: Playing with others, naming colours.
• 5 years: Counting to 10, dressing independently.
