What are developmental milestones and ages?
Developmental milestones are linked to age ranges where most children achieve certain skills. According to the Raising Children Network (2024):
- 6 months: Rolling both ways, responding to name.
- 12 months: Standing with support, saying simple words.
- 2 years: Walking independently, combining two words.
- 3–4 years: Playing with others, naming colours.
- 5 years: Counting to 10, dressing independently.
These ages are guidelines, not exact deadlines, but they help identify when support may be needed.
