What are the signs my child may benefit from seeing an exercise physiologist?

Children may benefit from exercise physiology if they show challenges with physical skills, emotional regulation, or energy management in daily life. Common signs include poor balance, clumsiness, low muscle tone, difficulty sitting still, frequent fatigue, or avoiding physical play. You may also notice that your child struggles to keep up with peers at school or avoids tasks that involve body coordination, such as dressing, climbing, or catching a ball.

At daar, we support families by assessing these early signs and identifying goals for functional improvement. Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists help children build strength, confidence, and coordination through personalised, play-based movement therapy. If your child is already funded under the NDIS or is currently undergoing assessment for developmental delay or disability, we can guide you through the next steps.
