What does dyspraxia look like?
Dyspraxia presents differently in each child, but common signs include:
- Clumsiness or frequent falls
- Difficulty with handwriting or drawing
- Trouble using cutlery, zippers, or shoelaces
- Struggles with sports or physical activities
- Delayed speech development or unclear speech
- Challenges with organisation, memory, or following instructions
These difficulties can lead to frustration, low self-esteem, and social anxiety if not addressed early. However, with occupational therapy, speech therapy, and positive support strategies, children can build confidence and independence.
