What is an NDIS disability provider?

An NDIS disability provider is any professional or organisation that delivers supports to NDIS participants. This can include:
  • Allied health providers (speech therapists, behaviour therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists).
  • Support workers assisting with daily living.
  • Organisations offering community access programs.
  • Companies supplying assistive technology or home modifications.
Disability providers can be either registered (approved by the NDIS Commission) or unregistered. Registered providers must follow strict compliance and quality standards, while unregistered providers can only work with participants who self-manage or use plan managers.

More details are available on the NDIS Commission provider hub.
