What is motor dysgraphia?
Motor dysgraphia is a form of dysgraphia caused by fine motor skill difficulties. Children with this type may have weak muscle tone or poor coordination, making it hard to control a pen or pencil. Writing often appears slow, laboured, and messy, though oral language and reading skills may remain intact. Occupational therapy and handwriting interventions are often recommended to support motor development.
