What is the difference between a PT and an exercise physiologist?

A personal trainer (PT) typically completes a certificate-level qualification and focuses on general fitness and performance goals. An exercise physiologist (EP) holds a 4-year university degree and specialises in clinical exercise interventions for people with chronic conditions, injuries, or disabilities. EPs are registered to provide services under Medicare, WorkCover, and NDIS. PTs are not qualified to treat clinical conditions.
