What is the difference between CAS & speech delay?
While both involve late or unclear speech, they are not the same.
• Speech Delay: Follows the normal developmental path but at a slower pace. Errors are consistent and predictable.
• CAS: Errors are inconsistent, unpredictable, and involve motor planning difficulties. Children may also show groping movements and distorted vowels.
Early differentiation is critical to ensure the right therapy. Book a consultation with us for clarity.
