What is the difference between dyslexia and dysgraphia?

Dyslexia and dysgraphia are both learning disorders, but they affect different areas of literacy:

  • Dyslexia – primarily affects reading, decoding, and spelling
  • Dysgraphia – primarily affects writing, handwriting, and written expression.

Some children may have both, struggling with both reading and writing tasks. Understanding the distinction helps schools and therapists design the right interventions for each child. For tailored literacy and writing support, contact us.
